15. It Suffers From Disney Overload - Kingdom Hearts III

Why It Might Suck: Though the central gimmick of the Kingdom Hearts franchise is that it's effectively a Disney-themed RPG series, could the upcoming third game tip the balance a little too far in terms of excessive fan service?

In addition to Toy Story, Tangled and Big Hero 6 worlds already being confirmed, it's been long-rumoured that the game will also feature Star Wars and Marvel worlds, and with Disney's impending acquisition of Fox, could Avatar and X-Men worlds even end up in the mix (as DLC, presumably)?

Couldn't it all end up feeling a bit pandering, and ultimately nothing more than a vapid celebration of Disney's concerted effort to gobble up every last pop-culture IP they can?

Basically, it could play as lazy and hollow rather than actually contributing a genuine sense of wonder to Sora's latest adventure.

Why It Might Not: The previous two games struck this balance just fine, so with franchise director Tetsuya Nomura returning for the third game, there's justified hope he'll be able to resist the pull to throw everything and the kitchen sink into the mix.
