MetaCritic Score: 82 What To Expect: The Just Cause franchise has so far grown from a flawed but fun action adventure game (67-75 across platforms) to something more ambitious and satisfying (81-84), and while Just Cause 3 will likely live up to what came before, it may struggle to improve the formula given how business-as-usual the third game looks so far. For one, the map size is similar to JC2 (albeit with more vertical options), though undoubtedly working in its favour will be the addition of a wingsuit for nifty travel, and the player being kitted out with infinite C4 for mayhem at the press of a button. Even so, these features likely won't be able to push the game into the year's few best, but it still seems destined to be a visually stunning, totally bonkers action game in stark contrast to all the serious, grimdark ones out there.
