19 Predictions For This Fall's MetaCritic Gaming Scores

3. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

MetaCritic Score: 67 What To Expect: Though Ubisoft's expectation that the new Rainbow Six will sell 7 million units just weeks after Fallout 4 and Star Wars: Battlefront hit the streets seems absolutely ridiculous, reactions from press play-tests and closed betas have been thoroughly mixed and may spell out an alternate reason for why the game will fall short of that optimistic sales figure. Though that initial E3 2014 trailer spiked interest in the series significantly, gameplay released since has shown underwhelming graphics and an overt focus on hand-holding the player which seems to steer away from the ridiculously tense (not to mention insanely difficult) gameplay of the earlier games in particular, which emphasised teamwork and how quickly you could be killed off. As Evolve proved earlier this year, games heavily reliant on intricate online multiplayer teamwork rarely take off on a huge scale due to their unrealistic expectations of most players, so don't be surprised if Siege ends up as a nice idea in practice that nevertheless falters in reality. Release Date: December 1
