20 Announced Video Games That Are NEVER Coming Out

15. Two Worlds III

Two worlds game
Reality Pump

Developed by Reality Pump and published by TopWare Interactive, the Two Worlds series is a classic fantasy action RPG. Bristling with magic and orcs and demons and all the other flavors of an epic fantasy palette, the first two games, especially the second, drew enough praise and sales to convince TopWare a third installment was warranted. The publisher confirmed this in 2016, making Two Worlds III a reality; or so we thought.

The project entered a prolonged period of being stuck in limbo, as it failed to make it out of the pre-production stage. A big reason for that was the studio having to divert resources to other projects such as Shattered Embrace and Call of the Tenebrae. The clouds of uncertainty refused to disperse as it also emerged that the people behind the game were seeking new development and publishing partners to help get it off the ground.

Hopes were rekindled earlier this year when TopWare Interactive finally broke the lull surrounding the game and addressed it in a direct statement. They confirmed the project was still alive, although only in the concept stage. The statement did however outline a 36-month development cycle, breathing life into the project that many had feared was destined for the cancellation catacombs.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
