20 Announced Video Games You Won't Play For YEARS
5. Tom Clancy's The Division 3
Tom Clancy's The Division 3 was officially announced by Ubisoft in September 2023, and almost two-and-a-half years later we still haven't seen any gameplay footage from the live service sequel.
Considering The Division 2 released in 2019, almost exactly three years after the original, it suggests there's still a long way to go in development, no matter that the series' gameplay template felt pretty firmly set by the second game.
No release window has been officially set to date, though most industry analysts point to a bow in 2027 or 2028.
Given everything we've seen in recent years - and accepting Ubisoft's own penchant for lengthy delays - it's easy to buy that 2028 date.
Honestly The Division 3 might even end up a flagship title for next-gen platforms, which are themselves expected to be delayed into 2028 or even beyond.
On paper it can't help but seem a little absurd that Ubisoft will probably take almost a full decade to launch another Division sequel.
