20 Awesome PS4 Exclusives You Need To Play Before PS5

These PS4 classics deserve your attention.

Shadow Of The Colossus
Sony

Can you believe it's been nearly seven whole long years since the PS4 released on 15th November 2013?

It's been quite the lengthy console cycle, and with Sony finally lifting their lid on both the PS5's appearance, and the games we can expect of it going forward, it's got us all nostalgic about the huge amount of fantastic games that have graced the PS4 over it's lengthy life cycle.

With a wide range of established IPs to fall back on, as well as some, new, innovative titles, Sony has delivered on exclusive after exclusive throughout this generation.

While we do know that the PS5 will have some form of backward compatibility, Sony isn't committing to telling us everything works as it should just yet. So we'd highly recommend picking up some of these fantastic titles, many of which are available for low prices now, and enjoying them before the PS5 hits sometime this holiday season.

So, which 20 of Sony's library of PS4 exclusives are really the best of the bunch and deserve your attention? It's time to clear that backlog people and get through these games that will be thought of fondly as classics in years to come.

20. Yakuza 0

Shadow Of The Colossus
Sega

Chock full of references to the series for fans, but very accessible for newcomers, Yakuza 0 tells the story of both series main character Kazuma Kiryu, and also that of crazy antagonist, Goro Majima.

The game itself is an open-world adventure around Kamurucho and Sotenbori in Japan, you'll do a wide variety of activities in this game ranging from beating up a lot of goons with completely over-the-top martial arts moves, to running your own cabaret club in one of the most addictive minigames ever made in a game.

Then there's all the rest - karaoke, tiny, customisable slot cars you can race, managing your own real estate empire and even full versions of Sega arcade classics OutRun, Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone and Hang-On to play in actual Sega arcades dotted around the environment.

If you've been sitting on the Yakuza fence, wondering how to get into it, this is the game you need. Then, once you're done, Sega has also remade Yakuza 1 and 2 as Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2 respectively, so you can continue your experience in your new favourite series.
