20 Awful Characters In Amazing Games

In many ways, Borderlands 3 pulled off the impossible. It delivered on fast-action looter-shooter gameplay that massively improved upon its predecessors. That said, it couldn't do the impossible twice, as the main antagonists failed to live up to the expectations set by the legendary Handsome Jack. 

The Calypso Twins were definitely a big swing, as this duo of obnoxious streamers throw everything at the wall in an attempt to hit something. But, in many ways, that's part of the problem. It feels like so much is going on, yet so little. They have an overly crammed backstory with multiple gimmicks (children of the first vault hunter, social media celebrities, parasitic twins, cult leaders, powerful Leech/Sirens, to name a few). These concepts are all pretty interesting, but the pair barely get the time to explore any of them in depth. 

Then, there's the simple fact that they are undeniably cringe. That classic, zany Borderlands humour, love it or hate it, is on full display with the twins. This results in a boatload of dated internet humour that feels massively out of touch.
