It's always great fun when a developer lies about not being at E3, and then unceremoniously shows up with a new game. That's exactly what Media Molecule did: when "LittleBigPlanet 3" suddenly popped up on the jumbotron at E3, the crowd went nuts, and the developers went straight into showing off the latest game in the series. The first thing to notice is that the game now has a greater depth of field, giving players more creative possibilities, before we were shown off a new weapon called the Pumpinator. Three of Sackboy's new friends were then revealed: Oddsock (the fastest of the four), Toggle (who can change his size depending on the context) and Swoop (who can fly and pick up the other characters). The charm of the characters and the artistry of the level made LBP3 an instant hit with the crowd, and the number of times the developers screwed up made it refreshingly clear that they were actually playing the game rather than just pretending to play a video clip. And the best part? We won't have to wait long, as LBP3 is dated for this November!
