One of the games pundits had been banking on to appear in some capacity at E3 was Crystal Dynamics's follow-up to their superb Tomb Raider reboot released last year. Though we weren't lucky enough to see any gameplay footage, a superb cinematic trailer debuted, making it clear that Lara is now in therapy following the traumatic events of the first game. The artistry of the trailer is on par with anything you'd see in a Hollywood movie, and it also implies that we can expect a more psychologically complex Lara Croft than we've ever seen before. There's no gameplay, though as long as it pretty much leaves the previous game's mechanics untouched and opts for a new setting, there's a good chance this will be a great sequel. Still, we're not quite sure about that title, though: it sounds clunky in of itself, and "Rise of the..." titles are just so unoriginal these days, no? What's next, Dawn of the Tomb Raider? The game has been dated for "Holiday 2015", so don't expect to see any gameplay footage from it for a while...
