20 Best NES Games Of All Time
13. DuckTales
The NES has a lot of great Disney games. There is a surprisingly decent video game adaptation of The Little Mermaid, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers is great, and Darkwing Duck is a hidden gem based on the TV show.
But of course, when you talk about NES Disney games the first thing to come to mind is DuckTales and for good reason.
Based on the surprisingly good show of the same name, DuckTales puts you in control of the only likeable billionaire Scrooge McDuck as he travels the world to find treasure to add to his already vast wealth.
Just like in Mega Man, you can visit the levels in any order; this makes sense when you realise that a few developers from the Mega Man series worked on DuckTales. These levels are great, each heavily encouraging exploration which you'll need to do to get the amount of money required to get the best ending.
This is an enjoyable time even if you've never seen the show it's based on.
If you want to play this I recommend getting the remake, DuckTales: Remastered which is an excellent upgrade to an already excellent game.
