14. Wipeout Omega Collection
Wipeout Omega Collection was a welcome blast of nostalgia in the middle of the PS4's life cycle.
The undisputed king of the anti-grav racer genre reaffirmed its supremacy with this eye-wateringly beautiful, pulse-racingly frantic compendium of Wipeout HD (complete with the Fury expansion) and Wipeout 2048.
For anyone revisiting the franchise for the first time in years, Wipeout Omega Collection is like being reunited with an old friend who hasn't changed one bit (not for the worse, anyway).
This is basically just a more visually impressive iteration of what came before with killer online features and defined by its addictive "just one more race" quality.
The icing on the cake, however, has to be the addition of VR support shortly after launch.
Given that Sony could've easily released the VR component as a standalone game, putting it out for free was a majorly pro-consumer move, and only made a great game even better.
