20 Best Video Game Multiplayer Modes Of All Time
9. Warzone - Killzone 2
Suffering immensely thanks to the first trailer for it being a flat-out lie (it was CG, rather than gameplay), many didn't want to give Killzone the time of day, let alone get invested in a multiplayer mode.
Still, the thoroughly genius Warzone threw the rulebook out the window, combining all your favourite modes into one session. Gone was the idea of jumping into a Capture the Flag, a deathmatch, attack/defending points on the map, assassination etc., and in was a constantly rotating objective that changed every few minutes.
It kept you on your toes, showed what the future of online FPS gameplay could look like and looked great to boot. Sadly, we all know the story of Killzone - which is to say, this barely made it past the first few paragraphs.
