13. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

The first single player Star Wars game this generation, Jedi Fallen Order was embraced by strong sales and critical responses, yet its core feel is the best part.

A hybridisation of Dark Souls combat puzzles, checkpoint placement and enemy respawns, twinned with Uncharted dungeon puzzles, the whole thing is wrapped in a Metroidvania progression, letting you revisit levels multiple times with new powers, just to see what you missed.

Sadly for some, Fallen Order is very much an origin story. The tale of Cal Kestis is just beginning, so it's only in the closing couple levels where you really get to experiment with a full set of Jedi powers.

Still, Respawn are clearly one of the most talented developers working today, and each part of JFO feels purposeful, play-tested and geared for maximum Star Wars fan satisfaction.
