20 Best Wii Games Of All Time

6. Super Paper Mario

Mario Kart Wii
Nintendo

People either consider this the last great Paper Mario game or the first bad Paper Mario game.

Whilst the gameplay is definitely a downgrade here in comparison to Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it's the wacky scenarios that make this game great. Princess Peach finds herself in a dating simulator with the nerdy loser Francis, Luigi turns evil, and Mario dies.

Super Paper Mario is different from the previous games. Instead of a turn-based combat system, the game is real-time. Yeah, the system in place here isn't as interesting as the combat in The Thousand-Year Door or even the original Paper Mario, but it works perfectly fine. The gameplay might not be amazing, but everything else makes up for it.

The game has been criticised for lacking original party members as your team in this game is composed of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser. The thing is, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser are more interesting here than they've ever been before. Mario, well he's still just Mario.

This is a rare case where a Mario game is good because of its story and not its gameplay.
