20 Biggest Games Of 2014: What Do We Already Know?

11. Dragon Age: Inquisition (Q3 2014)

Easily one of the most curious titles due for release this year, Dragon Age: Inquisition has a lot to live up to after the disappointing Dragon Age II, which stripped away many of the elements that made Origins such a hit, and overall produced a far more "casual" experience. In addition to this, BioWare's last game, Mass Effect 3, caused a lot of fan outrage with its infamous ending, so in effect, BioWare have a lot to apologise to gamers for, and hopefully Inquisition will be just the tonic we all need. BioWare have clearly taken on-board the criticisms of the previous game, because the environments have been promised to be larger, along with greater personal customisation and a more strategic approach to battles, as well as the ability to capture fortresses in order to spread your influence throughout the world. Though it may be difficult to have faith in BioWare's claims that previous decisions in the series will affect events here, it still looks like a mighty fine package. Will It Deliver? Clearly, BioWare are trying hard to make it up to fans after the previous game, and from what we've heard so far, it sounds like a step in the right direction. It may not end up living up to the brilliance of the first game, but it should wipe the floor with DA2.
