20 Biggest WTF Gaming Moments Of The Decade (So Far)

4. Seeing The Order: 1886's 'Boss Battles'

So, The Order: 1886, that was a thing. Back in February when - in a Witcher, Bloodborne and Metal Gear Solid V-less world - we were desperately searching for something to justify purchasing the shiny boxes we had under our TVs. Like the overly polished carcass of a game it was always looked to be, once it got out on store shelves we realised not only was the setting woefully underused and fairly pointless, not only was it only a paltry couple of hours in length, not only was the entire game's palette grey and brown - but the much-touted werewolves were completely binary in their approach to combat. It boiled down to two mechanics in combat. In one you circled your opponent, waiting for the time to strike, whereas in the other it saw you dodging a wolf that would charge you, fall over and try again. That was it. Thoroughly underwhelming in every possible regard, these repetitive battles were just a case of uttering the titular "WTF" phrase in the most exhausted and utterly deflated way possible.
