18. P.T.'s Sink-Fetus

Someone has to let Hideo Kojima make a horror game. Just look at 2014's P.T., the 'Playable Teaser' for what was then supposed to be Silent Hills; Konami's rework of the legendary franchise. P.T. ended up becoming a lot of peoples' favourite game across the whole year (mainly because aside from Far Cry 4, Dark Souls II and Shadow of Mordor, there was nothing worth writing home about), but the first of many macabre images that'll really sit with you, was the lovely sight of an aborted fetus lying in a dingy bathroom sink. Realising this was the source of all the noise you'd been hearing was one thing, but Kojima's team programmed it to animate and cry just as you looked at it. Suddenly the door slammed behind you and whatever horrors this thing is capable of were about to unfold...
