When it comes to the reboot of Devil May Cry though - starring one of the most beloved new heroes in gaming, the demon-slaying, white-haired Dante - shots of him in his new garb essentially looking like the shaven-headed member of a boy band, didn't go down too well at all. Cut to the game itself and everything played like a dream, until just after the first major boss encounter where a scattering of rubble near a fairground causes a white wig to land on new-Dante's brunette head. The writing team obviously thought this could be a hilarious "F the old school fans!" Lars Ulrich kinda moment, as Dante then sees himself in the mirror and says "Never in a million years", roundly establishing that not only was this new take going to deviate from the originals, but it was happy to actively wee all over them, too.
