20 Boss Fights That Actually Get Easier

Inspired by 1930s animation, Studio MDHR's Cuphead is one of the most visually striking games in recent years. With no checkpoints or traditional way of healing, this run-and-gun action game is also one of the hardest releases that players can subject themselves to.

In addition to hectic run-and-gun sections, this title also features a total of 19 boss fights, each of which is as fiendishly difficult as the last. It's only fitting, then, that the final and hardest of them all in the base game is the Devil.

This is a chaotic fight from the outset. Players must dodge relentless projectiles while contending with enemies that run across the screen. Survive this ordeal long enough to make it to the next phase, and the fight becomes exponentially trickier as the floor is replaced with a diminishing set of small floating platforms. Meanwhile, the boss continues to bombard players with attacks from every direction.

Get his health low enough, and this boss will spend his last phase in tears, attacking only occasionally. Players are therefore able to deliver the knockout blow with ease, defeating this boss and forever earning the right to boast about beating Cuphead.
