20 Boss Fights That Actually Get Easier
15. Scylla And The Sirens - Hades II (2025)
Building upon and refining everything that made the first game so great, Hades II is an outstanding roguelike that casts players as the witch Melinoƫ, the sister of previous protagonist Zagreus. She's charged with slaying her grandfather and God of Time, Chronos, after he escapes imprisonment, a task that sees her journey into the depths of the Underworld.
Bursting with spectacular visuals, rich writing, and featuring a combat system that's as in-depth as it is satisfying, Hades II is a constant delight to play. However, it's the collection of boss fights where this game shines the brightest. One of the more unique and memorable of these challenges is Scylla and the Sirens.
Fought at the end of Oceanus, these rockstar sea monsters aren't to be taken lightly. Each of the three band members has their own distinctive attacks, which quickly turns the arena into a chaotic bullet hell. By eliminating each performer, however, this battle becomes gradually more manageable as players have fewer attacks to contend with.
Although Scylla remains a tough opponent throughout the entirety of this fight, the hardest challenge for players is not getting this group's incredibly catchy song stuck in their heads for eternity.
