20 Most Hotly Anticipated Games Still To Come In 2014
16. Hyrule Warriors (Sept 26)
Here's a game that, despite our cynicism that it's going to be nothing more than a lame cross-over, we can't help but be intrigued by. This peculiar "link" between the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors takes characters from Zelda and throws them into the hack-and-slash style of Dynasty Warriors, with the player taking control of Link as he fights his way through hordes of familiar enemies to rescue Princess Zelda. Nintendo have been quick to state that the game is not intended to be a "mainline" Zelda game, though that much is already clear from the game's undeniably gimmicky nature. Footage shown off at E3 certainly gave us hope that the game might deliver a breezily enjoyable fighting game, even if we're expecting it to be very far from perfect. It might not be a game to buy full price, but we can't wait to see how the reviews turn out nevertheless... Predicted MetaCritic Score: 72
