20 Most Hotly Anticipated Games Still To Come In 2014
15. Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Q4)
Easily one of the most anticipated video games coming for the Wii U is the latest iteration of the Super Smash Bros. franchise, and boy, could the Wii U really use the boost or what? The game was initially revealed at last year's E3, and it certainly didn't disappoint, delivering everything we've come to expect from a SSB game, taking our favourite Nintendo characters and having them beat the living snot out of each other atop gloriously-rendered maps. One notable addition for the new game, as revealed at Nintendo's Digital Event yesterday, is that players can now import their created Mii characters, essentially allowing players to make their own dream matches. Less certain is the inclusion of so-called Amiibos, figurines of the game's main characters which, when contacted with the Wii U gamepad, can allow for stats and custom moves to be imported and exported from the game. It's an interesting idea for sure, though one that hopefully won't get in the way of the game's brilliant simplicity. Predicted MetaCritic Score: 91
