20 Infuriating Video Game Bosses Nobody Beat First Time
13. Zeus (God Of War 2)
In a way, it would have probably been a bit of a cop out if the final boss of God of War 2, Zeus, ended up being a cake-walk. After all, the iconic Greek God has garnered such a rich mythology around him, and his reputation in the world of Sonys exclusive series is so drenched in blood and power that it only makes sense that the final encounter with him turned out to be so annoyingly difficult. An unrelenting and primal force, Zeus forces you to play God of War more defensively than any other encounter ever has, and as a result leaves the final fight feeling more tactical and less reliant on button-mashing than the rest of the game. With no real cheats or exploits to make the boss fight easier, you simply have to deal with Zeus and keep practising and practising or either restart the game and turn the difficulty down, because although the Gods attacks become more predictable the more you fought, even the slightest slip up could cause you to end up right back at square one.
