20 Infuriating Video Game Bosses Nobody Beat First Time

12. Ebrietas, Daughter Of The Cosmos (Bloodborne)

Although quite a few of the boss battles in From Software€™s latest title proved to be decidedly easier than those featured in the studio's previous games, that doesn€™t mean there weren€™t one or two that player became more accompanied with than they probably wanted to be. While the Shadow of Yarnham and Rom, The Vacuous Spider came close to featuring on this list, none of them proved to be quite as memorable or as difficult as the optional encounter with Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos. The hulking Great One can be found almost directly after defeating the Celestial Emissary, a boss which essentially acts as a warm up to this Lovecraftian tour de force. Lurking at the bottom of a hidden cave, the battle with Ebrietas actually starts off on pretty good terms with the ability to get in a free hit before she even realises you're there. It swiftly goes downhill however, with the Great One€™s reach being both far and lethal, attacking anything directly in front of it. Though keeping to the side of the boss doesn€™t provide much cover either, as she can easily change focus by gliding to another part of the map or completely flattening you with a devastating - and barely escapable - sweep attack.
