Criticised in some circles - with maybe some merit - for being a Zelda clone, Soleil still stands as one of the best Action-RPG games to find it's way onto the Megadrive and was a welcome addition to the console's line-up for those who couldn't get their hands on A Link to the Past.
Also known as Crusader of Centy in the States, Soleil offered everything that you could want out an Action-RPG. The story actually had a message - even if it was delivered a little bit clumsily - and the ability to team up with animals and combine their abilities offered plenty of chance for exploration and experimentation.
Like many games of its ilk, it never quite got the recognition that it deserved in the UK and it has yet to find its way onto any online platforms, which means you are going to have to fork over a good chunk of cash to play it.
