20. Dog Ending - Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill is a series riddled with Easter Eggs, whether it be the creepy Robbie the Rabbits that crop up throughout the series, or the Swedish radio broadcast in the P.T. demo referencing Orson Welles. Theyre there, each more twisted and bizarre than the last. But through countless eggs, one stands out more bizarre than any other, the infamous Dog Ending in Silent Hill 2. It was notoriously hard to achieve, requiring three normal endings and the undertaking of a series of tasks and actions throughout the game, oh and if you miss one, the whole thing was a no go. When all was finally complete you were rewarded with the hellish discovery that all the horror, the suffering, the countless nightmares you faced, were the doings of a dog listening to Japanese Pop at the helm of a computer. No, really. Quite rightly, all your character could do was fall to their knees and cry.
