3. Anguish - Monster Rancher
Monster Rancher is a series of creature training games best remembered for its unique mechanic for obtaining new and rare creatures.
The first game and pretty much every consecutive title allow you to put in any existing CD and DVD disk into the console so that it can read the disk's metadata and generate a monster with it.
The mechanic is actually designed to be aware of the general contents of the disks (for example, Christmas CDs will spawn a creature named Santa), meaning that two different disks can give you the same monster.
However, the game also features extremely rare monsters, which can only be obtained with very specific disks, and one of them is Anguish.
The monster in question can only be spawned into your game if you put in a copy of "The Best of the Village People" album CD. The disk will produce a fabulous rendition of the Naga monster dressed in a Japanese schoolgirl outfit, but don't let its goofy looks deceive you, as this monster, called Anguish, has some of the best stats in the game.
And yes, the only way to get this creature is to use a Village People album. Given Anguish's themed outfit, the developers definitely knew what they were doing.
