Metal Gear Solid 3 lets you occasionally take a break from its spy thriller action with side activities like creature collection.

There are dozens of unique animals that Snake can observe and catalogue as part of this activity, but this said, you really want to keep your eyes peeled for one creature in particular—Tsuchinoko.

Tsuchinoko is a yokai from Japanese folklore that resembles an inflated snake. The creature makes its appearance in Metal Gear Solid 3, although finding it is so difficult most people don't even know it exists.

The mythical critter can only appear in a couple of spots in the game, and its spawn rate is abysmally low. To make things even more difficult, if you want to get a prize for it, you have to catch it in a mousetrap and then hold onto it in your inventory until you're able to deliver it to your base at the end of the game.

The task requires a lot of patience and care, both of which are rewarded with the unique Infinity Face Paint that makes it so that your weapons never run out of ammo.
