20 MORE Video Game Bosses That Forced You To CHEAT

5. Salazar - Resident Evil 4

Ramon Salazar Resident Evil
Capcom

It's easy to see why Sir Ramon Salazar from Resident Evil 4 has become an icon. Thanks to his Napoleon complex, squeaky laugh, and theatrical demeanour, the diminutive count is the kind of villain you love to hate. He's a permanent thorn in the side of our hero, Leon Kennedy, so it's clear the two will eventually square off.

Though Salazar doesn't look intimidating initially, he transforms into a gargantuan beast just before he and Leon face off. Despite the fact Leon should be armed to the teeth, taking down Salazar is no walk in the park. Leon needs to aim at Salazar's tiny weak-point carefully to avoid wasting ammo while avoiding Salazar's barely telegraphed attacks. And if the nasty kaiju catches Leon in his mouth, it's an immediate Game Over.

Now, if players can't be bothered with that, they'll be happy to know they can use a secret weapon.

Not the Magnum. Not the Grenade Launcher. But an egg.

If Leon chucks two Golden Eggs at Salazar's humanoid form, he'll die. (Must be an allergy or something.) The Golden Egg trick also allows Leon to conserve a ton of ammo, making the later sections far easier.

Better still, Capcom were nice enough to include this exploit in the 2023 remake.
