20 Most Overrated Pokémon In History

It may be the Pokémon that everybody in the world wanted to hold a shiny trading card for at some point, and it's probably the beast that you worked so hard to train from the moment you first picked Charmander back in Pokémon Red. Sadly, however, Charizard is drastically overrated in this day and age.

For a start, several players seek to employ Charizard as a Dragon for their team, despite the fact that it is not a Dragon type without a Mega Evolution. Similarly to Milotic earlier on, this means Dragon type moves are virtually wasted in Charizard's moveset.

But if you do heed the advice of sticking to Charizard's types, you will still find yourself getting short-changed. More of Charizard's base stats are leveraged towards the Attack stat than with the likes of Delphox, which is strange given how most of its most effective moves are ranged Fire types. Only the risky Flare Blitz works otherwise, meaning a better Special Attack for your Fire choice is absolutely the way to go.

Charizard may be the one of the coolest Pokémon of all time, especially where the TV series is concerned, but sadly it just isn't anywhere near as useful as the exploits of Ash Ketchum would have us believe...
