20 Most Overrated Pokémon In History
16. Bisharp
The fact that Bisharp has so few type weaknesses is a big appeal to so many players, and on the face of it this should be a Pokémon that can really hold its own. Type matches only tell you so much about the effectiveness of a particular creature, however, and Bisharp manages to find plenty of other weaknesses outside of this.
It's a heavily front-loaded Pokémon, meaning its Attack and Defence stats are stacked hugely against all others. This is great in a physical contest, but the weighting is so far off that it's not often able to make the most of this.
Competitive battling is hugely reliant on Speed and HP; the monsters that can strike first and survive a big hit to make a second assault are always the most successful. Bisharp's Speed is not high enough to allow it the first move against more than 50% of competitors, and its HP is terribly stacked against others. Couple this with its weak Special Defence and you'll see Bisharp becoming frustratingly useless on the field.
