20 New GTA 6 Leaks And Rumours You NEED To Know
15. "Familiar" Brands
If there's one thing you can always expect from GTA, other than car-jacking, it's goofy satire. The series has always had its finger on the pulse of contemporary culture, poking fun at the biggest names, companies, and events of the time.
One of the funniest ways the series does this is through its parody brands, including iFruit, Maibatsu, Weazel News, LifeInvader, and more. It's a silly but amusing way to poke fun at household names whilst avoiding copyright issues.
Naturally, players are expecting to see a whole new variety of parody brands in the upcoming game. But, this leaked intel - collected from website domains registered by Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive - has already given an idea of what to expect.
Some of the domains include a presumed Uber/Lyft parody called RydeMe, a WhatsApp alternative called What-Up, a Venmo-type money mover called Buck-Me, and even something called Hookers-Galore - presumably for fishing, right?
So, players will have plenty of new brands to get used to - and, if that ride share app is real, even an alternative travel option to car-jacking. How fascinating.
