20 Problems Only People Dating Gamers Will Understand

1. Quality Time Is Not Quality Time

€œHey, do you think maybe you could stop playing and spend some time with me?€ €œWhat do you mean, spend time with you? We€™ve been spending time together all day!€ Watching your SO play videogames is not quality time. Sometimes gamers will sense their SOs are feeling isolated and they€™ll try to amend that by sitting near them on the couch while gaming or moving their computer set ups (see: battle stations) into a common room. However, all that really does is allow us to stare at their backs or the sides of the faces, which is almost as bad as their not being there in the first place. Gamers who think of these solutions are not only appropriate, but the best they can come up with are the kind of people who will watch you unload groceries and won€™t help, not even to put the bread on the tippy top shelf that you can€™t reach. Are you dating a gamer? Share your problems in the comments section below so we can all empathize and feel a little better.
