20 Reasons The Year's Biggest Video Games Might Suck
10. Just Cause 3's Lack Of Multiplayer Is Infuriating
Release Date: Q4 The Hype: The long-awaited third installment in the popular sandbox action adventure series, following along a similar line premise-wise and gameplay-wise but also introducing a ton of more content through underground caverns which can be thoroughly explored. New features include an awesome wingsuit, infinite C4, and enemy AI which reacts to match your weapon(s) of choice. Also, no micro-transactions (despite rumours to the contrary), which is always a win. Why It Might Suck: Multiplayer is what sells these days, and so it's a major shock that, like its predecessors, Just Cause 3 won't ship with any online multiplayer. Modders eventually created the multiplayer for Just Cause 2, and so it seems that Avalanche will just wait for them to do the same for this game, devoting their development time to the core sandbox gameplay instead. In 2015 it seems pretty ridiculous that a game that would benefit so much from multiplayer is choosing not to include it out of the box, and as such the single player experience might simply not be enough to justify a full-price, day one purchase.
