20 Reasons The Year's Biggest Video Games Might Suck

3. Tom Clancy's The Division Is This Year's Destiny

Release Date: TBA The Hype: An open-world third-person RPG shooter, in which the player attempts to maintain order after a disease has decimated the U.S. Players will face off against a mixture of AI opponents and other players, ensuring the potential for some very chaotic multiplayer mayhem indeed. Plus, the graphics look absolutely beautiful. Why It Might Suck: There's no doubting the ambition and potential for The Division to be one of the year's best games, but as everyone learned with Destiny last year, ambition isn't enough, and if you make lofty claims about massively multiplayer experiences, you'd better live up to them. Given how little has been said or seen about The Division, perhaps Ubisoft has realised that it just doesn't live up to the hype, and the game is a shallow, simplistic online shooter. Given the challenging infrastructure of these games and Ubisoft's rather untrustworthy nature, it wouldn't be a surprise in the slightest. Also, don't be shocked if it slides to a 2016 release as the dev scrambles to try and make the various pieces fit together.
