20 Simple Game Exploits That Make You OP

4. Stealth Exploit - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

Oblivion Remaster
Bethesda

"The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a perfectly balanced game" is a sentence no one has ever uttered seriously. If they have, they've eithr never played the game or they've been huffing skooma in the local Cyrodill drug den.

The game is filled with bugs and exploits, and that is honestly a part of its charm, which is why the recent remaster has kept almost all of them intact.

Including the stealth exploit that can turn you into an overpowered assassin before you even leave the tutorial area.

All you have to do is reach the part of the intro sequence dungeon with a lonely goblin standing by the fireplace. The game uses this encounter to teach you about stealth, but if you simply crouch and walk into the wall preceding the chamber with the goblin, the game will count this as successfully avoiding the goblin's attention without you ever risking getting seen.

A dozen or two minutes of walking into the wall will be enough to maximize your Stealth, all while you haven't even passed the Stealth tutorial area.

It just works.
