20 Stunning Open World Game Areas That Left You SPEECHLESS

3. Field of the Equinox Flower (Ghost of Tsushima)

Picking just one area from Ghost of Tsushima to make it onto this list is like pulling teeth. It would be easy to fill half of the entries here with Sucker Punch's inspiring samurai game, with locales like the Omi Monastery or the Maple Shade Hot Spring deserving plenty of love. Still, the crown has to go to the Field of the Equinox Flower. Just, wow.

This is an area that, much like Death Stranding's Bluebell location, spells it all out for you with its namesake. It's a vast, sweeping field that's absolutely covered with vibrant Red Spider Lilies, offering an eye-catching sea of crimson amid the green landscape. It's an area that's somehow simple and bombastic at the same time. The overall design is simple, yet the visuals are punchy.

There is, of course, plenty of meaning to be found in this flower, as this plant is known to be a symbol of death and the afterlife, due to its blooming within the Autumn equinox. To say that the theme fits the game is as obvious as saying the sky is blue.

For a game so violent, it's impressive how tranquil things can get.
