20 Stunning Open World Game Areas That Left You SPEECHLESS

2. Beauclair (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

The world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a rich, yet sordid, land full of battlefields, hanging bodies, and misery. Even the nicest places, like Novigrad or Oxenfurt, are tinged with this feeling of grime and discolouration. There is, however, a good explanation for all this, as the Blood & Wine DLC makes it clear that the people of Toussaint stole every drop of opulence for themselves when building the astonishing city of Beauclair.

As the capital of this unique kingdom of chivalry, knights-errant, and wine, it comes as no surprise that Beauclair is so rich in its beauty. Wandering the streets of this vast city is like taking a stroll through a colourful painting - although not the type found in the Hearts of Stone expansion. The architecture is lavish, full of gleaming marble, terracotta roofs, and detailed statues celebrating the kingdom's affluent culture. It feels like every corner of this place was chiselled by the gods of luxury.

A special mention also goes to Blood & Wine's Land of a Thousand Fables. But, not even a literal fairy tale could top Beauclair.
