If you've been playing Pokémon games since the first generation, or if you're a Manga reader, then you'll be familiar with the meteoric rise of Red and his faithful team. Many of you will have played as Red in your first brush with the franchise, in fact.

But Red has never come to the fore more than he does as the final foe in second generation games, Gold & Silver. Red awaits trainers who've conquered both Johto and Kanto regions, and stands as the fiercest test in the games to date.

This battle is the pinnacle of a Trainer's hard work in Gold & Silver, and working to be worthy of facing Red takes hour after hour of effort. But when you climb the final steps toward Red's mountaintop battlefield, the thrill of the conflict that's about to ensue makes it all worthwhile.

Then comes Red's famous ellipses; has any gaming character ever said so much with so little?
