11. Fans Voted For Clayton Carmine's Fate
So, what happened to the Carmine brother in Gears of War 3? The developers introduced Clayton Carmine, the muscle-clad brother of the family. He's an intimidating opponent for the Locust, with his softer side shining through on his right arm that sports a tattoo of his fallen brothers.
So why didn't Clayton bite the dust like his siblings? Near the end of Gears of War 3, Clayton assists Delta Squad in defeating Queen Myrrah by chopper, but her Tempest shoots his King Raven down. Epic Games launched the Fate of Carmine campaign, where players could either buy a "Save Carmine" or "Carmine Must Die" shirt on the Xbox Avatar Marketplace to decide his fate. Epic Games raised $150,000 for Child's Play Charity in the process.
With the vote cast, an extended ending shows Clayton surviving the crash. Later, they released an alternative take where Clayton accidentally knocked a radio into a bathtub, killing him. We're glad the vote went in his favour.
