20 Things You Didn't Know About Mortal Kombat
2. Christopher Lambert Did Some Of His Work For Free
Christopher Lambert was by far the most high-profile actor among the movie's cast, and did a splendid job bringing Rayden to big-screen life.
Despite his standing compared to his castmates, however, Lambert has been frequently credited with helping ease the anxious mood on set. Paul W.S. Anderson said that Lambert's relaxed demeanour helped keep the mood calm during stressful moments.
But Lambert truly stepped up for the movie when the production could only afford to pay him for a few weeks of scenes of Los Angeles, with Anderson originally intending to shoot his wide shots in Thailand with a stand-in.
Lambert, who was enthusiastic about the film, agreed to go to Thailand for no extra fee, and even paid for the movie's wrap party. What a guy.
