14. Jurassic World Evolution 3
Fans of the dino destruction Jurassic Park franchise may have been disappointed by this year’s lacklustre and ultimately inconsequential addition to the canon, Jurassic World Rebirth, but there is light on the horizon yet: the Jurassic World Evolution series is returning for its third entry.
Evolution 3 once again gives us the opportunity to build and manage our own dinosaur-packed park. With more than eighty species of prehistoric animals (most of which have distinct female/male, and adult/child variants), and a new and improved construction system to build the park around them (and hopefully keep them contained!), the opportunities are endless.
This one also builds on previous instalments’ dino features and brings us closer to the World films by allowing the genetic modification of the dinosaurs in the park, creating traits for their offspring to inherit. And, as if that isn’t enough, the animals have been upgraded with sharper, more independent responses, thinking, rationalising and responding intelligently to their surroundings.
It comes to PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S on October the 21st.
