20 Upcoming PS4 Exclusives You Can’t Afford To Miss
11. PaRappa The Rapper: 20th Anniversary Edition - 2017
Sony sure knows how to get people’s nostalgia receptors going. 2017 will see the release of the remaster you probably didn’t know you wanted but will be glad exists once you play it and realise how awesome it still is: PaRappa the Rapper.
As the game’s title suggests, PaRappa the rapping dog first kicked and punched onto PlayStation consoles back in 1997, a frankly ridiculous 20 years ago. In that time gaming has moved on a lot, graphics have improved to the point that would have been hard to imagine in the late 90s, but rhythm games are still largely about hitting buttons in time with the music.
That’s exactly what PaRappa the Rapper is all about, except here you tap buttons in time with cool moves while listening to off the wall songs sung by a variety of random characters. Perhaps you had to be there in 1997 to understand.
