LISA: The Painful features thirty unique companions, but in the game's brutal fashion, all of them can permanently die if you’re not careful or make bad decisions.

Even then, some players would willingly get rid of the game’s most annoying companion given the chance—Terry Hintz, the self-proclaimed Lord of the Tutorial.

Terry is the annoying tutorial character who explains how the game works with his incredibly poor fighting skills and utterly useless hints.

After finishing the intro, you and Terry get surrounded by a group of bandits that forces you to either give them Terry as tribute or lose everything in your inventory.

Given that Terry is absolutely useless in combat and never shuts up about his “hints,” the decision might look like a no-brainer. However, if you keep Terry around, he can secretly turn from the weakest to the strongest ally in your party.

Not only does Terry eventually learn skills that regenerate his HP, but at level 25, he also obtains “The Hottest Dance,” a fire attack that deals the most amount of damage out of all companion skills in the game.

If you let go of him at his worst, you don’t deserve him at his best.
