10. Duck Hunt Room - Gears Of War 3
Gears of War 3 is a third-person shooter like the rest of the titles in the series, but did you know that there is a secret location that allows you to play it like a rail shooter?
And you only get to access it once per campaign.
In Act 2, during a level called “House of Sand,” there are three barely visible golden coins placed outside of the reachable area. Several years after the release of Gears of War 3, a YouTuber by the name of Tac-Com discovered that if you shoot these coins in a specific order and don’t kill the last enemy in the level, you will be teleported to a hidden shooting range inside a giant ribcage.
Dubbed the secret Duck Hunt room because of its resemblance to Nintendo’s classic title, the area is unlike anything else in Gear of War 3. Not only does it feel like an actual rail shooter, but it also features a points system that rewards you with extra weapons for killing locusts.
It’s also the only area in the game that can only be accessed once per campaign. After you discover it, the only way to get back is to reload the chapter, but then you miss out on all of the unlockable gear.
