20 Video Game Villains You Couldn’t Wait To Kill

While Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the iconic fantasy shows of the last few decades, it had a tough time translating into video games. One diamond in the rough, however, is Chaos Bleeds, which slots somewhere into the show’s fifth season, and lets us visit all our favourite places, control our favourite characters, and face the show’s nastiest villains.

While getting to take down a bunch of the Big Bads, including season four’s high-tech-Frankenstein Adam and the First Evil (ahead of its season seven turn in the spotlight), it’s the smaller figures who attract our ire. Ancient, cloven-footed vampire Kakistos is one such draw, brought back from oblivion via an alternate reality. He plagues the first half of the game, sending forth vampire minions and undead creatures, mercilessly taunting us, and proving all-but unstoppable until we finally get to 1v1 him as Faith.

This is an extra-special kill for fans of the show, as Kakistos first romps onto the screen as a terrifying and hideous force who has brutally murdered Faith’s watcher and traumatised the young slayer. Sure, we get to see him die onscreen, but to be afforded the opportunity to take justice into our own hands and give him a personal seeing-to is a treat that, of itself, makes the game worth playing.
