20 Video Games That Mock You For Failing The Tutorial

2. Intro Endings - Detroid: Become Human

Detroit: Become Human is Quantic Dream's interactive story game about an android revolution in the not-so-distant future.

The game’s intro is one of the most memorable sequences in the game, and it features a rather impressive number of six possible endings.

You play as Connor, an android who’s tasked with rescuing a young girl held hostage by a deviant android, and depending on your actions, you can either complete the mission or fail (as well as end up dead).

The intro serves as a tutorial, so you obviously may not have the full grasp of what to do to accomplish Connor’s mission. This, however, doesn’t mean that the game will not mock the absolute crap out of you for failure.

If you agitate the deviant android too much or don’t pick up enough clues, Connor can end up failing his mission and/or dying in four spectacularly embarrassing ways.

Each of these failure scenes features some kind of punishing shot, such as an image of the little girl falling with a big “Mission Failed” message appearing next to Connor, or an eerie picture of Connor’s still body bleeding out as the hostage is screaming in horror.

Honestly, the fact there are so many detailed ways the game depicts your failure would almost not make you mad about it. Almost.
