Metal Gear Solid V can often prove to be more difficult than you think. The enemies are easily alerted to your presence, and gunning them down before they shoot you can border on impossible since they usually patrol their bases in large numbers.

Luckily, dying can make things easier for you. If you're ready to don the Chicken Hat, that is.

If you have the option turned on in the options menu, after you die at least three times during a mission, the game will offer you a gift that will give you a pretty significant advantage… and maybe a tiny dose of embarrassment.

The Chicken Hat is a poultry-shaped piece of headgear that grants you the ability to skip past certain sections up to three times.

Afterward, if you keep dying anyway, you can also unlock an even better reward—the Lil' Chick hat that renders you completely invisible to all enemies in the game.

The hat's design is the developers obviously calling you a chicken for using it, but if you're new to the stealth genre or you have already played the game and look to spice things up, total invisibility is too much fun to worry about what someone might be thinking of you.
