20 Video Games That Secretly Reward You For Failure

15. Cheese House - Nubby’s Number Factory

Nubby’s Number Factory is a bizarre roguelike in which you play a Peggle-like game with the titular Nubby as the ball, and your goal is to acquire as many points as you can in each round to stay alive.

Usually progressing to the next round requires skill combined with the right items to boost your score. However, if you manage to get a Cheese House in your inventory, then winning the game is as simple as letting Nubby die instantly.

The Cheese House is an early game item that triggers every time Nubby dies. Before round 30, it grants a flat +300 points every time you fail your Nubby throw, which is more than enough to progress to the next stage early on.

The skill does begin to fall off in later rounds, once the point requirements begin to exceed 1,000, but until that point, if you get the Cheese House, you can simply throw the game every single time and not only win but also gain enough reward money to acquire better items later.

Ah, yes. The failure strategy.
