20 Weirdest Licensed Video Games EVER

13. The Simpsons (1991)

There's been countless Simpsons games over the years and the quality of them is mixed to say the least. For every god-tier entry like Simpsons Hit & Run, there's Bart's Nightmare or Bart Vs The Space Mutants - basically, avoid any game with Bart's name in the title.

However one of the most beloved, if not highly baffling, games spawned from the franchise has to be Konami's 1991 arcade brawler. Released when The Simpsons was still in its earliest seasons, a period in which the show was still finding its voice, the developers at Konami didn't have a whole lot work with, so filled in the blanks themselves.

And let's just say, if you're a Simpsons fan, your eyebrows may be very tired from all the continued raising as you play this one. Homer, Marge, Lisa and Bart take to the streets of Springfield, as well as a whole host of other locations, battling endless waves of goons, robots, theme park mascots and even zombies in their quest to rescue Maggie from the clutches of Mr Burns and his ever faithful servant Smithers, after a diamond ends up in place of her pacifier.

Is there a reason as to why this one's a beat-em-up? The answer is no, but it's a damn fun game that everyone should play!
